Health & Safety Policy Statement
GB
Fuels provide a service of procurement, storage and distribution
of Premium Kerosene, Burning Oil, Gas Oil, Autodiesel, Petrol,
tanks and equipment. Our policy is to provide and maintain
safe and healthy working conditions for all our employees,
providing appropriate tools, equipment, operational processes
and safe systems of work covering all our activities.
Our
management accepts the responsibility for applying the above
and for providing information, instruction and training
at all times and for the duration necessary to achieve this
purpose.
Other
people may be affected by our activities i.e. visitors,
neighbours, contractors etc and our management accepts the
responsibility to provide appropriate levels of safety for
them.
We
will provide suitable facilities and/or make the necessary
arrangements for the welfare of our employees at work.
We
will comply with all applicable occupational health and
safety legislation and any other requirements to which we
subscribe.
Where
risks to safety and health need to be assessed under a specific
duty or regulations, we will ensure that an assessment and
that all actions shown to be necessary will be implemented.
Should
any of our activities endanger the health of any employee,
such activities will be monitored and where necessary, arrangements
for health surveillance made.
We
will provide suitable information regarding the safety or
safe use of our services and/or products.
We
plan to minimise the risks created by work activities, products
and services, organise ourselves in a way that secures involvement
and participation at all levels and measures performance
against out pre-determined standards.
We
are committed within all levels and functions of the organisation
to continual improvement of our health and safety performance.
Our
commitment to this policy will assist us to develop a positive
health and safety culture throughout all areas and activities

Environmental
Policy Statement

Fuels is a privately owned company, engaged in the distribution
of fuels to a wide variety of markets. Additionally, the
factoring of products such as fuel storage tanks and related
ancillary equipment is provided as part of the company's
comprehensive service. Our objective is to create a climate
of excellence, not only in our products and services, but
also for our employees, persons affected by our activities
and the environment. In order to achieve this, the following
policy has been established:
We
will manage our activities to minimise wherever practicable
their effect on the environment. In this, we are committed,
within all levels and within all functions of the organisation,
to continual improvement. We
recognise that this will only be achieved through regular
monitoring of our environmental performance. With this in
mind, we will set environmental objectives and targets,
which will be regularly reviewed to ensure continual improvement.
Our
Environmental Policy commits the organisation at all levels
to ensure we:-
Identify any risk of pollution arising from any of our activities,
products and/or services, which shall be either eliminated
or effectively controlled, to meet all regulatory requirements
relating to the environment;
Reduce
to a minimum unnecessary use of materials, resources and
energy and reduce to a minimum all future developments;
Reduce waste to the lowest practicable level, ensuring responsible
disposal of waste created and received, undertaking environmental
audits and measuring the results against established targets;
Advocate
employee involvement in all environmental matters, providing
suitable training and support to all employees with regard
to this environmental policy;
Minimise
any environmental effects caused as a result of our activities,
products and/or services, adopting the technique of BATNEEC
(best available techniques not entailing excessive costs);
Ensure
that any persons working on our behalf are made aware of
and agree to comply with this policy;
Seek
to ensure that products and/or services supplied or provided
by third parties can be used, handled, stored and disposed
of in a manner which safeguards the environment and the
health and safety of all;
Undertake
a review of this policy in the light of any new knowledge,
changing legislation or public concerns.
