ADBLUE
Euro
4 and Euro 5 emissions limits cannot be met with engine-design
technology alone. Selective catalytic reduction (SCR) is an
exhaust gas treatment process whereby nitrogen oxides in the
exhaust gas flow of diesel engines are converted into harmless
nitrogen and water by using AdBlue and a catalytic converter,
thus reducing exhaust emissions significantly. AdBlue is a high
quality aqueous urea solution (32.5%) especially developed for
use as a reducing agent for selective catalytic reduction (SCR)
technology, manufactured to DIN 70070.
